DEFINITION & DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
The County Administrators Office- Maintenance Division seeks to fill one full-time Custodian to join our amazing team. The selected candidate will perform the full range of custodial duties related to the care, maintenance, and cleaning of County buildings and facilities; and do related duties as assigned. There is one position open in the Colusa County CAO’s Office - Maintenance and Custodial Division, which works 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM, weekdays.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of:
Methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work.
Safe work practices.
Ability to:
Clean and care for assigned areas and equipment.
Use a variety of custodial equipment, supplies and materials.
Understand and follow oral and written directions.
Work independently in the absence of supervision.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Experience and Training Guidelines—Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge would be:
Experience:
Two years of custodial experience
Training:
Completion of formal or informal education at a level that provides the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
License or Certificate
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license.
