Title: AVPC Custodian – Part Time Reports to: Facilities Manager
Position Purpose: To serve our church family and visitors by caring for the facilities of the church, accomplished by providing for their regular cleaning.
Required Skills: Basic knowledge of cleaning methods. Ability to lift 20 lbs. Ability to take instructions and work independently. Thoughtful worker with a desire to serve the church family.
Position Specifics: 20 hours per week, 52 weeks a year, $14.70 per hour. Additional income earned when working weddings.
General Description of Job Responsibilities: (Tasks not limited to this list, additional duties are periodically assigned) Frequency of tasks to be determined by supervisor.
Clean AVPC main building and Altadena {youth} house.
Perform the necessary room set-ups for scheduled meetings and events.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors using provided cleaning solutions, tools, and equipment.
Window cleaning using provided cleaning solutions, tools, and equipment.
Clean or polish building fixtures, including sanctuary pews, and other furniture, when assigned.
Gather and empty trash from all restrooms and office areas in main building.
Clean bathrooms thoroughly and restock.
Notify supervisor of need to order materials/supplies, and any needed repairs noticed.
Ability to understand the following machines, tools, and other special equipment used to perform job duties: Hand and small power tools, ladder, vacuum, floor buffer, cleaning, and polishing chemicals.
