Purpose:

Manufactures the best quality products and services, on time and at the lowest cost, to meet Trendway's internal and external customer's needs in a safe, respectful, responsive and reliable manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently perform manufacturing/assembly duties as required building wall and door panels and frames
• Operate small hand and power tools, tape measures, gauges, hand saws and grinders, drill press and other various tools
• Read and understand set-up sheets, work orders, drawings or blueprints and gather necessary materials and tools to complete order
• Able to learn and demonstrate specific, required semi-technical skills
• Rotate to other departments as necessary, willingness to cross-train
• Follow Standard Work Instructions and work with minimal supervision when required
• Demonstrate quality workmanship and the commitment to consistently producing quality products
• Routine lifting of 50+ pounds throughout work shift
• Support 6S and follows all safety rules and policies
• Work overtime as needed

Minimal Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and write in English language
• Previous manufacturing experience required
• Previous machine operating experience required
• Proficient knowledge and use of hand tools required
• Ability to learn new products, processes, and equipment operation
• Ability to remain flexible, quickly adapting to changes in the work environment
• Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate within the work center
• Willingness to do what it takes to meet schedule/customer need
• Woodworking/carpentry/fabrication skills (preferred)

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds consistently.

This job requires close vision, the ability to correctly see color, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
