Position Summary:
- Designs and builds business analytics tools covering optimization, logistics, production, and contracting for the Carbohydrates group.
- Primary duties include enhancing usability, functionality, and visibility of front-end applications that interface with the division’s analytical SQL database under guidance of current team members.
- Current front-end systems used include FICO, Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, and ASP.Net based web pages.
- Attention to accuracy and verification of results will be essential for successful analysis.
- Will be to develop linear optimizations using advanced mathematical relationships and constraints, in the Mosel programming language.
- Work may also include developing scenarios, setting up and cleaning data to support analysis, and programming logic for optimizations.
- Experience working with well-normalized databases in SQL Server is also a plus (with the help of pre-existing Entity-Relationship diagrams).
- The successful candidate must have a high attention to detail and be willing to work closely with current analytics team members and business users.
- The successful candidate will also have a willingness to learn and have the ability to develop within ambiguous project requirements. Some after hours and weekend work may be needed to ensure critical systems’ uptime.
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related technical field with 1 to 3 years of experience.
- Experience with some of the following technologies: FICO, IBM CPLEX, Gurobi, Mosel, Python, C#, .Net, SQL Server, JavaScript
