Job Description

AECOM TechWorks has supported our customers in some of their most challenging times. AECOM has helped both public and private sector clients collect, manage, process, store and exploit data for thousands of damaged structures, hundreds of thousands of square miles of imagery, dozens of critical infrastructure components, and has deployed dozens of solutions on mobile, tablet, desktop, and browser-based platforms. Our portfolio of meaningful and high-profile projects continues to expand.

The successful candidate will support AECOM TechWorks in in data analytics, leveraging interdisciplinary techniques to extract knowledge and insights from data in various structured and unstructured forms. We're looking for someone to join our data team who is focused on leveraging data assets to deliver actionable and meaningful insights using analytics to our customers. The candidate will work with large and varied data sets, from multiple data sources, to conduct statistical analysis, generate concise reporting, and present recommendations to clients for future project deliverables. This can be a hybrid position, with the expectation of working collaboratively with the team by utilizing Microsoft Teams, JIRA, Confluence and other collaboration and development tools.

Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for working with large and varied data sets, from multiple data sources, to conduct statistical analysis, generate concise reporting, and present recommendations to clients for future project deliverables

+ Maintain up-to-date processes and upkeep with advanced and modernized systems/trends.

+ Update, implement and maintain procedures

+ Develop and prepare reports and relevant presentations

+ Proven ability to work in a team environment. Collaborate with other data analysts, developers, testers, managers, and clients (internal and external)

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
+ BA/BS + two years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education (AA/AS + four years of experience or HS/GED + 6 years of experience)

+ Demonstrated experience with relational databases including SQL Server, MySQL, open-source tool sets and unstructured data

+ Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship or Green Card is required.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience developing data models using standard diagramming techniques

+ Experience with open-source analysis tools, big data and business intelligence technologies

+ Experience and knowledge of open-source spatial data tools including PostgreSQL

+ Experience and coding knowledge using Python
