Overview:
The Training Supervisor is responsible for partnering with the business to ensure training needs and strategies are aligned with the needs of the distribution center. This will be done by assisting with the development of training procedures and guidelines, providing classroom and hands-on training for associates, and following up on newly trained associates to assess their skills before completing training. The Supervisor is also responsible for the development of their training team. This includes understanding their team and motivating them to achieve organizational and professional goals. Additionally, this role will interact with Operations on issues, provide operational technical expertise, and identify potential operating opportunities. Finally, this position will evaluate hiring needs and provide staffing updates for operational areas and workforce management to achieve the proper workforce staffing during peaks and low volumes.

Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates leadership through positive representation of the company core values.
- Provides effective supervision of team members and assist them with ongoing development and help with day-to-day workflow.
- Seeks innovative initiatives to enhance distribution center operations to simplify work output and improve processes and staff planning.
- Presents information such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Updates SOPs, checklists, and training information.
- Communicates effectively and partners to reach decisions and solve problems to improve quality, performance and safety, training, and staffing.
- Makes and communicates decisions, takes action, understands impact, and accepts responsibility.
- Ensures compliance with applicable municipal, state and federal laws relating to Health and Safety, OSHA, and CTPAT.
- Ability to have a flexible schedule, can adapt to new working conditions, and able to work increased peak season hours as needed.
- Fosters an environment in which diverse backgrounds are respected and valued.
- Tracks/Reports staffing, Premium Pays, Maintain/Reporting of DC hours and wages (DC Pulse, job code spreadsheet) Maintain Master Schedule.
- Provides staffing needs for lower and higher volume times of the year including providing HR and Recruiting with data on number of temps, seasonal and direct hires needed.
- Associates Degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent years of related work experience.
- Minimum of 1 year experience performing training/presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in staff mentoring and development / technical guidance and direction
- Teamwork, interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with customers, team members and peers
- Knowledge of automated DC Systems and of current RF technology is helpful

Benefits:
This is a salaried position paid monthly. The anticipated annual compensation range for this role is $60000 - $67000 / year; however, qualifications and experience will be considered.
