WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Decision Science Associate Director leads a team in delivering Machines Learning (ML) models, segmentation, and analytical insights in support of decision making. S//he is an experienced self-driven professional to partner with product, campaign, channel owners and agency to support targeting and personalization across marketing channels.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate across functional areas of our business at every level of seniority to uncover and address opportunities
- Interpret and synthesize findings across multiple analyses and influence optimal business action based on balancing business constraints and analytical findings
- Collaborate in wide variety of analytics projects including predictive modeling, customer profiling, journey analysis, campaign test design and analysis, product recommendations, and customer segmentation
- Create data driven insights and products (e.g., propensity models, response models, etc.) using marketing, demographic, and behavioral data. Ensure sound data strategy, quality, and coding best practices and bring recommendations and suggestions for improvements to supporting areas
- Establish and document modeling standards and processes, including identify and define problem, and design approach; prepare, explore, and transform data; build, validate, and deploy model; and monitor and evaluate results
- Manage model validation and model performance monitoring
- Explore and implement new data and analytic tools, techniques and industry best practices to apply to business problems
- Drive our audience strategy for cross-channel marketing, audience targeting and personalization using customer databases and channel tools including
- Be a mentor or resource for the team member, onboard new employees and interns, and recruit new talents
- Champion and lead the adoption of a test and learn culture
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in statistics, math, computer science, quantitative psychology, economics/econometrics, or other quantitative decision sciences or relevant work experience
5+ years of progressive experience in data science and modeling, including use of structured and unstructured data in a business setting;
Financial industry experience; familiar with model governance process
Experience working in a fast-moving agile company
Track record of developing successful data science solutions that deliver significant business outcomes/benefit
Experience remotely managing/working with internal and external resources
Experience with analytics software tools or languages (Python,R, SAS etc.) and machine learning techniques
Experience creating Advanced Analytics models and campaigns for CRM
Experience with both descriptive and inferential statistics - ability to build basic prototype models
Hypothesis testing and experience with experimentation (A/B testing)
Strong interpersonal skills, written / verbal communication skills: able to explain Advanced Analytics in non-technical terms to business users and other diverse audiences
Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with focus hypothesis formulation and testing.
Individually motivated and possess sound judgment, integrity, and a solid work ethic.

Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown.
