Job Summary: Assist dentist in providing services and promotes dental health and wellness.

  • Provide a Dental readiness inspection within 14 days after the student's arrival at the center. Document this exam on the entrance physical exam form.
  • Perform preliminary oral examination including bitewing and periodical x-rays.
  • Collect data and prepare reports as required by the Center Director and/or Department of Labor.
  • Assist center dentist in providing preventative dental education.
  • Assist the center dentist in coordination and integration of dental health program with other health components and center activities.
  • Schedule and maintaining the dental priority system.
  • Comply with OSHA requirements.
  • Provide students with Education on hazards and risks of smokeless tobacco.
  • Maintain dental equipment and supplies to assure proper function and operation.
  • Perform quality assurance record audits.
  • Participate in department system for student feedback or concerns.
  • Maintain dental records.
  • Observe current policies on health, safety, and security.
  • Notify proper authorities of circumstances or situation that present possible health hazards.
  • Cooperate in external/internal investigations as it pertains to student population requests.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in all areas and complying with safety practices.
  • Model, mentor and monitor Job Corps Career Success Standards.
  • Participate in PRH staff training.
  • Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and center policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participation in PRH mandated staff training.
Requirements:

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience: One year of related experience preferred.

Education: HSD or HSE required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: X-ray certificate in the state where the center is located.

Valid State Driver’s License.
