Job description

Our client is a global company that provides solutions for records management, data backup and recovery, document management, secure shredding, and data centers.

Responsible for the processing and destruction of all material delivered to the shred plant. Job activities include, but are not limited to, sorting and shredding material by grade, complying with the standards of the5S Workplace Program to promote consistency with tasks, workplace layouts, and workflow;

Responsibilities

• Secure Shredding (95% of time spent) – Empty collected material from containers (cutting bags, dumping gaylords, etc.).
• Manual dumping of boxes from pallets. Sorting material by grade, separating and discarding identified contaminants
• Monthly equipment maintenance tasks as directed by the Plant Manager or Supervisor Load and unload vehicles as required and verify accuracy of deliveries and pickups

Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues and individuals inside and outside of the company.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in an Operations / Production / Manufacturing environment
• Ability to pick up heavy material (70lbs to 100lbs) and/or push as much as 300 lbs wheeled containers
• Must be able to pass background and drug test

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
