Support Staff for High-Functioning 25 y/o female with Autism

Employer: Private Family Location: West Long Branch, NJ 07764​

Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Desired Hours: FT 10a-6p Monday-Friday or PT
​Job Description:​
Companion needed for a 25 year old HIGH FUNCTIONING female with autism in West Long Branch, NJ. The individual is verbal, ambulatory, fun loving and active! She loves to be out and about as a typical 25 year old. She likes to shop, go out to eat, walk around the community, swim, and other fun activities. She may need some verbal assistance with social cues, safety awareness, and encouragement with interacting in the community. She does NOT need any assistance with toileting or hygiene. NO severe behavioral issues.

The family is looking for a fun companion/caregiver with the following qualifications available to start immediately:

• Must live within Monmouth County
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to occasionally transport the individual (transportation costs covered)
• Have a fun, energetic personality. Must enjoy social activities (restaurants, fairs, festivals, markets, outdoors) and at-home activities such as cooking and baking!
• Must be willing and able to take walks with the individual
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and fingerprint background check

Pay & Schedule

• $20 per hour to start, rate will be increased to $25 per hour after completion of required trainings (mandatory within 6 months of hire)
• Up to 20 hours per week- Flexible schedule (ex. 5 days for 5 hrs, or 3 days for 8 hours/weekends are an option)
• Family requires one later night per week (approximately til 8pm) in order to take the individual on a night out (dinner, movie etc)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
