Position Purpose
This position requires a dynamic individual to proactively generate new corporate, international, leisure and entertainment business through direct sales and management of sales managers. Position must develop a strong account base and strengthen client relationships in order to exceed quarterly revenue goals. Must have superior communication, presentation and time management skills.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Deliver revenue expectations in line with overall hotel budget
Create and implements sales strategy per transient sub-segment within direct sales through historical analysis and market intelligence in order to maximize profitability
To respond promptly to all inquiries and correspondence from customers, prospects and lead referrals
Sells and generates revenues within the transient market – specifically consortia’s and independent travel agencies
Oversees all RFPs and rate quoting
Works closely with revenue management team to create and implement promos and sales driven incentives to clients in transient sales segments
Manages and maintains contracts for agencies
Schedule ongoing customer entertainment, site tours and events for potential and existing key customers
Be responsible for and implement a sales action plan for the development of the volume corporate and permanent market segments.
Develop strong working relationships with hotel department heads and operational areas
Welcome permanent guests on arrival and ensure guest satisfaction
Provide weekly and monthly reports of sales calls, data and comp set hotel as requested by DOS
To learn differing methods of sales and needs of markets solicited with specific concentration and emphasis on assigned markets
