Job Title: Global Director of Tax for a Public Company Manufacturing in North America, Europe, and Asia utilizing SAP and One Source for tax compliance and transfer pricing
Summary
The Director, Financial Reporting will oversee the internal and external financial reporting requirements of the Company, including SEC Reporting and drafting technical accounting position papers, policies and procedures. This individual will have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high achieving and fun professionals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements prepared under the US GAAP and IFRS frameworks.
- Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings (i.e., 10-Q, 10-K, etc.) as well as financial statements and tables to be used in quarterly earnings releases and corresponding investor materials/presentations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and SEC rules.
- Coordinate the accurate preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, cash flows and supporting materials.
- Ensuring compliance with all SEC and FASB rules and regulations.
- Drafting and managing the review of MD&A in quarterly and annual SEC filings and corresponding summary of operating results in earnings releases.
- Managing the preparation and review of all other quarterly and annual SEC disclosures and supporting schedules.
- Reviewing any additional materials provided to investors.
- Lead efforts to analyze, research and conclude on new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards issued by the SEC and FASB; prepare memorandums regarding the Company’s position and impact on the Company, manage the implementation of new accounting standards through the coordination of internal resources and external advisors; and debrief senior management and external auditors, as requested.
- Maintain external financial reporting system and assist with the maintenance of other accounting-related systems, and coordinate with the development, design and implementation of consistent global accounting and finance requirements throughout Ranpak with a focus on internal controls, process efficiency and compliance with applicable GAAP and SEC reporting and technical accounting requirements.
- Provide consultation on technical accounting matters to the operating divisions, ensuring that all technical issues are addressed, resolved and properly documented in a timely manner in accordance with GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
- Coordinate and assist with year-end audit requests.
- Work closely with FP&A team on annual budget, monthly/quarterly re-forecast and budget to actual analysis.
- Develop, maintain and manage company reporting calendar to facilitate accurate completion and sufficient review of all reporting requirements in a timely manner.
- Develop, implement and monitor internal controls for external reporting processes.
- Responsible for preparation of quarterly consolidated reconciliations and roll forwards for various account balances under the US GAAP and IFRS frameworks.
- Responsible for procedures to ensure that transactions are executed in accordance with general or specific authorization. Maintain accurate, complete and timely records of business transactions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Participate in formulating and successfully implementing goals and objectives.
- Work closely with other departments on matters of mutual concern and responsibilities.
- Write and deliver presentations and prepare reports as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA, active license status required.
- Accounting/ financial reporting experience required; including extensive knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting in multi-entity/multi-country environment.
- 5-10 years of experience
- SOX and internal controls experience
- Excellent project management and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, organization, planning and problem-solving skills
- Extensive experience with Excel, Word and accounting software required
- SAP and HFM software preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (and IFRS is a plus)
- Detail oriented
- Experience with INFOR LN or other cloud based , HFM, Workiva,
- Highly motivated, proactive, and efficient
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow
