Director of Marketing for San Diego Coffee Company
Job description
Achilles Coffee Roasters is looking for a self-motivated, experienced director of marketing for our growing coffee company. We currently have 5 locations in San Diego County with a 6th opening in Carmel Valley this fall. This is an exciting time in our growing company as we continue to expand in San Diego.
Achilles Coffee is the official coffee vendor at The Rady Shell so attendance at live music events will be a part of the position.
We are very excited to have an influencer deal with a San Diego Padre. We are looking for a candidate to be a part of this fun and exciting campaign and help maximize the exposure.

Responsibilities
- Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
- Support owner in organizing various projects
- Conduct market research and analyze customer feedback
- Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings, etc.)
- Assist in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success
- Prepare and deliver in-store promotional materials
- Compose and post online content on the company’s website and social media accounts
- Write marketing literature (brochures, press releases etc) to augment the company’s presence in the market
- Communicate directly with customers to foster trusting relationships with the brand.
- Conduct brand audits to ensure consistency across all mediums
Skills
- Graphic, visual, and print design experience
- Photography and visual asset production
- Good understanding of marketing principles
- Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
- Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
- Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs, web-based collaboration tools.
- Working Knowledge of Shopify eCommerce platform.
- Excellent communication and people skills
- High School diploma; BSc in Marketing, Business or relevant field is a strong advantage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
