JOB TITLE: Director of Memberships

LOCATION: Omaha, NE

REPORTS TO: The Director of Memberships will report to the General Manager


JOB OVERVIEW

The Director of Memberships is responsible for the continual focus on achieving and growing department profitability through the development of team members, customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and cost control measures. All while maintaining the integrity of 88 Tactical. The Director of Memberships will have oversight of all membership operations with the objective of meeting or exceeding customer expectations. While building relationships with key customers and being involved in the sales process.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Manage the hiring of full and part-time membership sales positions.
  • Weekly scheduling of membership staff.
  • Coordinates adequate staffing for special events and classes pertaining to membership generation.
  • Enforces 88 Tacticals Employee Handbook along with pertaining policies and procedures.
  • Conducts membership employee corrective actions (PARs), evaluations, and performance reviews to develop a cohesive sales team to meet or exceed monthly goals.
  • Basic membership staff training for new hires and existing membership employees.
  • Assisting membership sales personnel with their entire sales process.
  • Collect and record shift reports from membership sales associates after each shift.
  • Tracks membership sales and conversion percentages.
  • Responsible for ensuring their team meets or exceeds the company’s monthly membership acquisition goals.
  • Development and implementation of strategic plans that promote department growth.
  • Serves as a representative for 88 Tactical while attending private and community events to generate membership leads.
  • Oversee outreach to all potential client lists from various sources.
  • Develops and oversees general programs for membership retention and acquisition and promotional offers.
  • Works with Founders Club manager to coordinate monthly members’ entertainment and activities while maintaining assigned entertainment budget.
  • Oversees and monitors monthly membership billing.
  • Overall responsible for account management and satisfaction of current members.
  • Performs monthly membership audits and coordinates with accounts receivable for collection of past due memberships.
  • Develop and maintain all membership-related rules, regulations, and contractual stipulations as mandated within the Membership Handbook.
  • Oversee spreadsheets pertaining to membership, promotions, lockers, holds, and cancellations.
  • Attend bi-weekly department meetings. Report monthly department progress and updates to the management team.
  • Provide End of Month reports to Accounting and General Manager on promotion items and in-store credit issued.

  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products
  • Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
  • Ability to set sales targets and achieve them effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns
  • Ability to design and implement a successful sales strategy
  • Ability to guide and mentor sales representatives
  • Planning, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced time management skills
