The Director of Platform Partnerships is responsible for end to end partner management of Magna Performance platform relationships. This role requires a strong leader with proven experience executing media investment strategies, juggling multiple high-level projects at one time, researching and justifying partner selection, and developing and negotiating multi-faceted media and technology partnerships. This individual must think strategically and work collaboratively with other Investment disciplines across IPG Mediabrands. They will represent the Performance Partnership priorities in negotiations and will support any platform partnerships exclusive to the IPG Mediabrands business.


You will execute the holistic partner strategy across the addressable supply chain, partnerships will vary in type and size which will require you to have strong relationships in the space, be capable of developing new relationships and be the subject matter expert on emerging media platforms and addressable technologies, as well as media owner goals and priorities. We’re looking for an ambitious, driven individual to join the growing, Performance Partnerships Team. This team is responsible for ideating, evolving, and delivering blended media, data, and creative solutions for our client’s brands to interact with consumers.


This position will report to the Vice President of Platform Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive framework for all Platforms within the Performance Marketplace including but not limited to media buying platforms.
  • Drive methodology for benchmarking across various provider types to ensure best in class rates, efficiencies, and value
  • Drive provider recruitment for various marketplace initiatives and over deliver on partner value
  • Oversee partner onboarding and management including outreach, rate cards, partner needs analysis, and partner evangelization
  • Collaborate with partners to develop promotional and other amplification opportunities to enhance each investment
  • Evaluate proposals and work with key stakeholders to align on priorities and requirements
  • Negotiate terms across multiple providers
  • Work with the legal team to execute partnership details
  • Support the overall investment strategy, go to market approach for all digital offerings
  • Responsible for partner performance feedback loop
  • Collaborate with appropriate internal teams to advance existing partnerships and identify new providers that best match the business and client objectives
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of buying video, digital and/or mobile at a Media company or publisher within the media industry
  • 3+ years of technology partnerships
  • Experience with multiple clients and business categories
  • Proven superior customer service skills
  • Demonstrated proven leadership in the Media business
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues and publishers
  • Detailed awareness of client business issues, industry trends, consumer trends, promotional resources, market status, and competition
  • High level of comfort presenting to agencies and internal team members
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and managerial skills
  • Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure
  • Strong background in digital investment required

We also offer a competitive Total Compensation package, including a competitive salary and eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award or a relevant incentive award.

The pay range for this position is $140,000 to $175,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.

Maximum Salary 175,000
