Job description
  • Oversee the Accounts Payable, Payroll and Treasury functions, which includes internal financial reporting, month-end closing, reconciliations, and balance sheet management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end accounting closings and reconciliations of Cash, Payroll and Accounts Payable accounts
  • Ensure timely completion of daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries, and generation of Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, Solvency and Debt Covenant Reports
  • Directs treasury operations, processes, and strategies for multiple business units
  • Performs other related duties and assists with special projects as assigned by management
  • Directs daily cash reconciliations, cash position reports and cash forecasts.
  • Coordinate with Finance leadership and Director Regulatory & Statutory Accounting in compliance with CMS and State regulatory requirements.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting , Finance, Economics, or related field
Education Desired:
  • MBA, Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, MBA
Licensing Desired:
  • Certified Public Accountant
Experience Required:
  • 10 years
  • 5-7 years in Health Insurance industry in progressive roles
Experience Desired:
  • Managed Care Organizations, Joint Ventures, multiple-state operations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Hands-on experience with a large ERP accounting system is
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor accounting staff
  • Strong analytical, and financial reporting technical
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and compliance requirements of other financial statutes,
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment; ability to coordinate own priorities and those of others to meet multiple objectives
  • Ability to work with and influence people at all levels of the
  • Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal direction from
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks and meet
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced
