Alaris Health at Cedar Grove, a 217 bed-skilled nursing Center in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, seeks a dishwasher/utility aide to perform a combination of tasks to maintain the kitchen area in a clean and orderly condition. Additional responsibilities include:
- delivering and returning food carts to and from dining areas and the dish room
- scraping food from dirty dishes and placing them on racks for dish washing
- pre-soaking all dishes and containers as necessary and segregating and removing trash and disposing of it in a proper manner
- maintaining dish room cleanliness and cleaning all kitchen equipment
- and above all, ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights
- checking deliveries in and putting them away
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak and follow written and oral instructions in the English language
- Previous dishwashing experience is helpful
- Working knowledge of sanitation practices related to dishwashing
- Ability to positively interact with everyone from residents to government agencies and the general public
