Responsibilities
This position is responsible for staffing operations across the thirteen facilities in the North State Division. This includes managing frontline staffing personnel and developing policies and work processes that standardize this work across the division. Supports clinical, administrative, and financial operations. The incumbent will work to help establish organizational objectives and develop processes that optimize technology to provide data analysis and universal reporting. The incumbent will build curriculum, standards, and training for those carrying out these staffing functions/incumbent will coordinate the implementation and installation of software and hardware, and oversee application design and optimization. The incumbent will exercise initiative, and independent judgment in applying established management principles to new and unusual problems with a focus on developing innovative solutions. The incumbent will maintain a positive working relationship with hospital leaders, operational management, and staff. The incumbent promotes the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Common Spirit Health.
Job Responsibilities
1.1 Hire, recruit, train, supervise, discipline, and evaluate the performance of assigned staff. Encourages and uses positive human resource practices throughout the department, including mentoring, using performance management techniques - setting objectives, providing feedback, evaluating results, defining roles and responsibilities with direct reports, training and developing staff, using coaching/counseling to improve or sustain performance and making effective hiring, promotion, transfer, scheduling, disciplinary, and termination decisions.
1.2 Provide leadership and direction in accordance with organizational and department goals and objectives.
1.3 Identify educational programs and seminars that are pertinent to the educational and professional growth needs of the department.
1.4 Develop, justify, and maintain a fiscal plan for the department. Monitor operating expenses and provide appropriate reports to the Division Director. Submit budget goals and objectives.
1.5 Submit program/plan goals and objectives for the new fiscal year.
1.6 Conform to the formal, technical aspects of financial reporting.
1.7 Monitor utilization and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
1.8 Drive best practice process efficiency improvements through analysis of the overall staffing process and its components, identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities to serve customers better. The resulting solutions will be innovative process re-designs that are efficient, scaleable, supportable, and customer oriented.
1.9 Establish the data points, ensure consistency in the data, and define metrics, reports, and analytics in conjunction with Staffing, Facilities, and Sr. Management teams. Analysis of PPE reports- traveler use, OT decrease, C.B.A. compliance, etc.
1.10 Administrator for one or more application systems used - understand how technology can be effectively leveraged to accomplish organizational goals.
1.11 Allocate proper resources to meet technical requirements, and delegate IT-related tasks to team members as appropriate.
1.12 Works with nursing leaders from around the North State Division as well as other leaders across Common Spirit Health to problem-solve issues that arise out of staffing and/or scheduling
1.13 Addresses grievances arising out of staffing/scheduling by submitting requested data, and meeting with Employee and Labor Relations and Union representatives.
1.14 Prepares reports and presentations as requested or needed.
1.15 Perform other duties as requested in a professional manner.
1.16 Demonstrates understanding and commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and values through demonstrated behaviors.
1.17 Having achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; keeping up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of Clinical Staffing Office experience and or another comparable healthcare-related field.
- A minimum of two years of management experience.
- Applicable experience may be applied to meet the second-year requirement.
Preferred/Desired:
Experience operating/managing a clinical staffing organization or other business with similar demands.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a business discipline or Healthcare related field
