Job Summary:

We are currently Producing a feature-length documentary exploring the life and career of Actor, Lead Singer of Backyard Band, Philanthropist and DC Native, Anwan "Big G" Glover. The producer will support the Documentary Director in end-to-end production. You will work closely with the Director, proactively providing storyline, concepts, and editing in collaboration with the Production Team.

Essential Functions: Responsibilities

• You will adeptly use your creative storytelling expertise to seek interviewees aligned with narrative.
• You will manage the documentary interview schedule, locations, and logistics
• You will work with the creative team to scope kit requirements.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that the production of the documentary is completed on time, budget and to the highest quality.
• You will collaborate with fellow strategists, project collaborators, and vendors to drive success, culture and ultimately the vision.
• Development tracking as well as providing notes on submitted scripts, pitches, treatments and cuts
• You will be responsible for overseeing the production, budget, scheduling and creative development.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience

• A proven track record of successfully managing high-quality productions and a deep understanding of the film industry and its processes
• An understanding of both story structure and terminology used to describe it
• 2+ years of professional experience as production coordinator or production manager
• Ability to Multi-task across multiple projects

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

• Commission pay
