The mission of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.

The Foundation seeks a highly skilled and detail oriented administrative professional to serve as a Donor Retention Analyst. This individual will assist our Executive Vice President, and support the overall donor retention efforts in conjunction with the Donor Services Team. This position will involve maintaining files and spreadsheets, analyzing and reporting on donor activity, retention outreach and responses, handling email and phone correspondence; speaking with donors, drafting content ranging from acknowledgment letters to donation summaries.

A successful candidate will possess a wide range of skills and contribute to the positive working environment of the Foundation. They must possess excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills. This individual must be a team player; able to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality; possess the ability to multitask, thrive in a fast paced environment and remain flexible; and be able to interact within different levels of the organization and external organizations.

Duties and responsibilities

Candidate will:

  • Execute Foundation donor retention plan with specific focus on maintaining donor base.
  • Analyze monthly donor data across CRM and accounting systems and provide reports on active/inactive and gained/lost donors as well as response rates on donor retention outreach and follow up.
  • Ability to compile and provide comprehensive reports.
  • Responsible for outreach (and continuous follow up) to all donors regarding their monthly transactions (ex: charge fails, lapses, and upcoming credit card expirations).
  • Track progress and response rates weekly.
  • Assist in developing strategies and campaigns for donor engagement and retention.
  • Work with staff, promote Foundation team-oriented culture, and maintain our positive working environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in donor retention/loyalty and data analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a high-level of accuracy with all tasks and pride in a job well done.
  • Experience with CRM and accounting platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Extremely organized, able to work independently and manage tasks from start to completion, meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
  • Quick learner, team player and ready to take on any challenge.

Working conditions

Special working conditions may include: a change in days worked, shift hours, and/or working conditions (outdoors or other locations), extended days away from the office, when participating and assisting in special events such as: NYC Tunnel to Towers Run, Gala, golf outings, and other fundraising events, as required.
