Responsibilities:

Operates vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, at all times following the laws of the California DMV.

Maintains and provides daily Vehicle Inspection List to the Director of Safety & Transportation.

Maintains fluid levels in vehicles; immediately communicates mechanical problems to the Director of Safety & Transportation.

Retains and submits all receipts for gas and oil to the Director of Safety & Transportation.

Answers calls from residents for pick up while out on runs; schedules pick-ups as required.

Verifies that residents always wear seat belts at all times during transportation.

Conducts special drop-off request to non-routine locations; shows flexibility in last-minute routing of vehicle.

Must be able to cross-train in all related functions.

Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent communication skills (written and oral).

Education and Other Qualifications:

California driver’s license

Must have clean DMV record for the past four years.

High school diploma or equivalent

Must be able to speak, read and write proficiently in the English language.

College or related life experience desired.
