Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for the performance of complex cardiac diagnostic procedures and all procedures required by the EKG Technician. Demonstrates competency in patient care for neonate pediatric adult and geriatric patients.
The incumbent shall demonstrate behaviors consistent with the core (Mercy) values in support with Mercy General Hospital and the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years of college-level education required with courses completed in physiology and anatomy
- Two (2) years of experience in echocardiographic and Doppler technology required
- Current ARDMS certification required
- Effective oral and written communications skills required
- Requires knowledge of:
- EKG procedures and equipment; basic cardiac and human body anatomy and physiology
- basic interpretation of cardiac arrhythmias
- cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- general filing procedures
- typing and office skills
- electrical safety standards
- proper phone techniques
- aseptic techniques
- Requires abilities to:
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with a wide variety of hospital personnel

- Maintain accurate and complete records; maintain a high degree of accuracy regarding all details
