University of Minnesota Bookstores
This position is located in the University of Minnesota Bookstores Technology Department and works closely with the University Services development team assigned to Bookstores e-commerce development and support. This position provides e-commerce oversight for retail and departmental business including e-commerce administration support for all of the Bookstores’ retail store locations. The employee in this position will be assigned e-commerce fulfillment management responsibilities, for all Bookstores’ retail store locations. The Bookstores’ environment is that of a fast paced retail environment and thus the employee in this position needs to rapidly adapt as customer demands evolve. The employee will contribute to the development and implementation of assigned e-commerce projects. The responsibilities of this position will be split between e-commerce order fulfillment management, e-commerce customer service management, e-commerce policy, procedure, and acting as a liaison between the University Services development team and Bookstore employees. The employee will support new and ongoing e-commerce/retail programs and events as directed by Bookstore’s management. Daily activities and responsibilities may change as demands change and are at the discretion of Bookstores’ management.
Responsibilities
- 30% - Oversee e-commerce customer service and order fulfillment operations for Coffman, Law, St. Paul, Crookston, Rochester, and Morris campuses. Ensuring the Bookstores’ high customer service standards are being provided.
- 25% - Act as liaison between developers and staff as well as lead testing of new e-commerce features/modules for quality assurance.
- 25% - Assist with departmental order procurement/fulfillment process for institutional technology orders.
- 10% - Plan, organize, and execute seasonal e-commerce operations including back-to-school rush and seasonal programs/events.
- 5% - Assist with retail store operations, activities and events as necessary.
- 5% - Oversee verification of e-commerce payment systems revenues
Work Environment
Work is performed mainly in an office and retail store setting with frequent work on a computer at a desk.

Hourly Rate: $23.00 - $26.00
