Job description
Position Purpose:
The education program coordinator is responsible for coordinating training needs for Hancock Physician Network. Central to this role will be development of curriculum, instruction, and attaining accreditation for the medical assisting program. Other duties include user training and creation of supporting documentation (manuals, guides, webinars, etc.) for Hancock Physician Network’s training needs.

- Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and organization.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good listening skills.
- Creative teaching methodology and design to facilitate adult learning needs.
- Self-learner and ability to easily learn new software programs.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Clinical background will enhance ability to communicate with new and experienced staff.
- Demonstration of flexibility to fit the needs of the practitioner which includes need to work flexible hours.
- Ability to take direction from leadership regarding approach to implementation.
- Professional presentation
Essential Functions:

- Responsible for attaining and maintaining accreditation of the medical assisting program
- Coordinates didactic and clinical education for the students.
- Instructs students in the didact setting and develops the curriculum for the program in conjunction with the objectives developed by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools.
- Coordinate annual competency training for all Hancock Physician Network Office staff.
- Coordinate orientation and onboarding for all HPN new hires.

Requirements
Required Experience: Previous curriculum development and adult education experience.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree. Masters Degree, preferred
