JOB SUMMARY
EKG Technician is under the clinical supervision of the Cardiovascular Services Manager for EKG related issues. Acts as a resource to less experience EKG Techs. Also, responsible for the scheduling of Holter Monitors, EKG’s and King of Hearts monitors and ambulatory BP monitors. Responsible for the completion of EKG’s in a timely manner, providing quality tracings. Responds to all call for STAT EKG’s. Adequately prepares patients both mentally and physically for the test. Informs physician of EKG results in a timely manner when the results are of a serious nature.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- Previous EKG experience preferred.
- EKG Certification desired.
- Communication and computer skills.
