Role Summary:
The role of the Electrical Engineer is to address and resolve technical product issues at a customer’s facility. The services provided may consist of troubleshooting, commissioning, repair, maintenance and training of electric automation equipment. The Engineer will help the FCD MRO End-Users Services organization to increase capabilities in automation and electric actuation across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Actively support a positive safety culture to reduce injuries and maintain a safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex field problems involving electric automation and related systems, key focus area on complex issues and network and communication support with end-user customers across our global regions.
- Provide advanced technical support for Flowserve field technicians and sales for electric automation and related systems, including network and communication requirements.
- Work closely with sales, commercial operations, product and engineering teams as key technical resource supporting large new business opportunities, as well as new product development for electric automation.
- Support development of training programs for electric automation and deliver training to customers and Flowserve employees.
Requirements:
- Strong Customer-service focus, with a personal ownership and initiative regarding quality, meeting deadlines, and problem-solving.
- Excellent understanding of end-user customer requirements for electric actuation and related communication and network specifications.
- Expert level experience with digital communication protocols including Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus, etc.
- Advanced technical and hands-on field experience with Limitorque electric actuators and automation systems.
