Position Summary:

Repair, maintain, and install electrical/electronic systems and equipment such as motors, wiring, switches, transformers, and alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
  • Implement McCain Competitive Edge and Lean Manufacturing practices relative to Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD).
  • Locate and determine electrical malfunctions using electrical test instruments and PLC computer software.
  • On-Call Requirement – Must perform on-call duties on a rotating basis.
  • On-site Requirement - Must perform duties onsite. Except work required to be done at one of McCain’s satellite locations.
  • Operate forklift in accordance with company policy.
  • Repair, Maintain, and Install electrical/electronic systems and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and Two year degree in industrial controls/instrumentation or electrical construction and maintenance. Two years working in the electrical field within an industrial or construction setting would be deemed equivalent.
  • Hand tool experience is required
  • Computer skills are required
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code required
  • Machine shop knowledge is an asset
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Welding skills are a great asset
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment, and complying with food safety rules and regulations is an asset.
