We would love you to join us at Experian in helping us to shape the future of employer services for Human Resources compliance and outsourcing. We are seeking an Eligibility Specialist in our Tax Consulting practice to research and document client eligibility for the Employee Retention Credit. You’ll help shape a new business at Experian and help to drive market penetration of new and existing product lines in this space.

We seek a candidate eager to join a start-up atmosphere, someone who is able to adapt readily, instill confidence in internal and external partners, and drive results. Comfort with ambiguity and a high aptitude for adaptability are necessary.

As the ideal candidate, the Eligibility Specialist is a pragmatic, curious, and responsible individual working with our Tax Consulting practice. This individual has a history of working through ambiguity in volume-oriented environments and finds immense satisfaction in getting work across the finish line. The Eligibility Specialist thrives under pressure, is organized with strong time management skills, and maintains a high level of professionalism. Strong research, analysis, and written and verbal communication skills are required.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assess project risk
  • Interpret and analyze various forms including Forms 941, 3508, and 1094-C
  • Perform legal research and apply it to the client’s circumstances
  • Create strong positions using structured persuasive arguments that align with the program’s intentions
  • Prepare audit-ready documentation

Qualifications


What your background looks like:

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks, take initiative and prioritize multiple work items.
  • Must remain flexible and be comfortable with ambiguity within a very demanding, constantly changing environment.
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D) from an accredited law school (PREFERRED, not required)
  • 1-3 years experience in Professional Services or Consulting
  • Proven record of meeting tight deadlines while providing excellent client service
  • Experience coordinating or managing projects at a detailed level
  • Tax credits and incentives experience (PREFERRED, not required)
