Registration: Current TWIC is required. State or National Registry Emergency Medical Certification or working towards (EMT, EMT-I or EMT-P) Safety or environmental related degree or work towards the same could reduce experience requirement
Experience: 5+ years of emergency services experience (Industrial or Municipal Fire, Emergency Medical, Rescue, etc.)
- Related military and or chemical plant experience a plus
- State Commissioned Firefighter Certification
- FA / CPR trainer
- HAZWOPER / Rescue certified
- EMT-Paramedic
- Serving as off-hour and weekend incident commander (Fire, HAZMAT, EMS and Rescue)
- Off-hour and weekend leader for the site Fire Brigade (Level 1 incidents only)
- Off-hour and weekend Spill Response and cleanup coordination
- Coordination and planning for all site Confined Space Rescue Services and entry plan reviews
- Coordination and advisement of all site fire pre-plans
- Serve as Rescue Team Coordinator
- Assure Rescue Team members assigned and available for all confined space entries
- Physical verification of all rescue equipment for each site confined space entry
- Participation in Freeport Site and Unit emergency response drills
- Support in maintaining of Emergency Services equipment, including:
- Minor maintenance and periodic flushing of hydrants
- Minor maintenance and inventory of Emergency Services apparatus and equipment
- Refill breathing air bottles for units as needed
- Testing and maintenance of all site SCBAs
- Fit testing of all site employees in respiratory protection program
- Inspection of site brigade bunker gear and HAZWOPER PPE
- EMS / Rescue equipment inventory, re-stock and management
- Safety On-Call support to Site EHS Services Team
- Off Hour and Weekend liaison to outside emergency response agencies for CAER, Freeport, Clute and Brazoria County
- Develop effective working relationships with units and other EHS team members; planning and coordinating drills
- Complete NIMS 100 and 200 and 300 along with maintaining all HAZWOPER certification
- Primary Medical First Responder mentor
- Provide day to day field “hands on” support for incident command, emergency response, fire systems and response, confined space entry activities and safety and health compliance activities for the Freeport facilities as needed through a site services concept.
- Positions will provide 24/7 Incident Command support for the Freeport sites coordinated emergency prevention, preparedness and response programs. They will rotate on the same basis (A/B/C/D shift) to build familiarity and an active working relationship with the site shift supervisors and operations personnel.
- The position will implement training and drills relative to emergency preparedness in conjunction with the Site Emergency Response Team Leader over the Freeport site emergency services

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
