Union Wireless in Mountain View, WY full-time Engineering Supervisor

Engineering has a huge impact at Union Wireless. Each engineer's dedication is indescribably important to the success of Union.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide staff direction and support, including but not limited to safety, work scheduling and coordination, hiring of personnel, appraisals, timesheet and expense report approvals.

Manage the engineering staff to complete the following assigned tasks:

• New site engineering, including preliminary site selection and design, preparation of engineering packages, and requests for approval.
• Analysis of collocation requirements, both on Union facilities and on other carrier facilities.
• Support of Marketing, Sales and other organizations on an as-needed basis, e.g., trouble ticket resolution, sales meetings, and coverage maps. Oversee the documentation of procedures and process associated with the engineering function.
• Interact directly with the project coordinator in developing the overall construction schedule. Provide feedback on engineering work status and other factors that affect schedule.
• Adjust quickly to changes in work schedules by managing competing demands for best results, including reaction to frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
• Coordinate manpower availability to match production schedule.
• Work proactively with the Director of Engineering, and the project coordinator, to develop alternatives and preventive solutions so that engineering problems and delays are prevented, or resolved in a timely manner.
• Oversee the implementation of major systems and studies, e.g., facility management, trouble ticketing, spectrum clearing, etc.

Reporting/Communication Responsibilities

• Directly interacts with directors and subordinate staff throughout the company in meeting the assigned tasks.
• Communicates project changes effectively, monitors transition, and evaluates results.
• Makes self available and understands business implications of decisions.
