Connec-to-Talk is a privately-owned premier provider of ABA therapy anchored in 18+ years of experience with clinics and in home clients currently located in Connecticut, Maryland, South Carolina and New York (Playmates ABA Therapy, an affiliate of Connec-to-Talk).

The ABA Therapist is responsible for providing individual treatment for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges using Applied Behavior Analysis principles. The ABA Therapist implements learning programs under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

Qualifications

• A passion for working with children!
• HS diploma required
• Ability to travel between client locations
• Afternoon availability 2x a week
• At least 18 years or older to apply

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry clients (must be able to lift up to 50 pounds)
• Must be able to kneel, squat, sit on the floor and stand for extended periods of time during your ABA session with the client
• Must be physically present at assigned job location(s) which can include clinic, school, client’s home or community based settings
• Must be willing and able to perform crisis intervention (physically hold, restrain or block) as indicated by the client’s Behavior Intervention Plan while working with children with challenging behavior
• Must be able to receive information through oral communication and written communication via phone, computer or tablet

Preferred previous experience in one or more of the following roles:

ABA Therapist, Registered Behavior Technician, Behavior Therapist, Behavior Technician, Behavior Specialist, Special Education Teacher, Paraprofessional, Paraeducator, Direct Support Professional, Preschool Teacher, Early Intervention Specialist, Child Development Specialist, Special Needs Aide, Teaching Assistant, Teacher's Aide, Nanny, Childcare, Daycare worker
