The ERP Administrator reports to the IT Manager and is responsible for ensuring that BCI is deriving the maximum business value from our ERP system, resulting in efficient and effective business operations and regulatory compliance. The ERP Administrator is responsible for collecting and analyzing business requirements, optimizing business processes in partnership with business stakeholders, defining system requirements, completing application configuration and development, testing and end user training and support.
Strategy, Architecture and Training Responsibilities:
- Works closely with business stakeholders in defining business requirements
- Ensures that the use of the ERP platform enhances business operations
- Takes part in project management & communications of the ERP strategy and roadmap
- Assists in reviews of all updates to the ERP platform and makes sure there is no impact to the overall architecture and integration with downstream systems
- Helps with development and implementation of ERP onboarding plan for new employees that will work on the ERP platform
- Supports the ongoing training program to support the evolution of the ERP platform
Change Management Responsibilities:
- Drive adoption of ERP platform and supported processes across the organization through delivering high quality, reliable and scalable technology solution
- Foster the creation of a process-driven culture, related competencies, and business process literacy across the enterprise.
ERP Platform Responsibilities:
- Ensure the ERP system is configured and optimized in a manner to effectively support business operations.
- Identify opportunities to reduce the level of customizations made to the ERP system by leveraging out-of-the-box functionality and off-the-shelf bolt-on technology.
- Direct all configuration, customization, and application development activities, ensuring the team adheres to a standard SDLC process.
- Ensure effective application support, maintenance and system administration capabilities are in place enabling maximum end user productivity, uptime and availability and IT efficiencies.
- Manage projects, resource capacity planning and prioritization.
- Integrates ERP with 3rd party applications as required.
- Ensures controls related to approval levels, user access, routing etc. are established and maintained in the system.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science
Minimum 2 years of ERP implementation experience
Sage 100 experience preferred
Acumatica or similar platform experience is a plus
Demonstrated ability to manage projects across technical and functional disciplines
Experience managing consultants and vendors
Project Management skills and experience
Experience in Finance/Accounting, Inventory Control, Manufacturing and Logistics
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
Proven ability to plan and manage projects with budgets of varying size and scope
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently as well as within in a team
Ability to communicate both internally and externally on technical and non-technical matters
