General Summary:


Responsible for consuming materials to all production batch orders with accuracy and verifying the returned material quantities are correct as listed. This person will work closely with the Production Departments, Supply Chain and Warehouse teams to develop the production run plan and communicate material shortages and availability KPI’s for each day across all shifts within the production departments


Stage material for production and perform necessary inventory transactions in MRP/ERP Inventory system. Perform all necessary activities to monitor and maintain control of materials and timely production runs to help ensure on time deliveries. Process goods through production to shipping and receiving, perform cycle counting, and maintain inventory accuracy. Other tasks to insure that internal and external customer needs and cost control goals are being met.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks to insure accurate inventories and cycle counting
  • Decrease and eliminate slow moving, excess or obsolete inventory
  • Maintain ERP system data base records accuracy, with timely/accurate shipping, receiving and data entry
  • Maintain and control inventory in the department
  • Work closely with warehouse, floor leaders and material handling personnel
  • Print all labels for active jobs
  • Perform stocking and picking transactions
  • Be extremely proficient in the use of the IQMS computer MRP system
  • Perform re-work transactions and paperwork
  • Close out job packets
  • Perform credit transactions back to warehouse
  • Must be able to understand BOMS and process sheets
  • Alert Production Manager of shortages before production begins
  • Update production schedules as needed based on part availability and changes in demand
  • Report completion of shop orders and print as needed, including rework orders
  • Proactively anticipate material shortages
  • Support inventory accuracy by performing systematic adjustments/inventory moves to ensure accurate material usage and returns to inventory
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and report on them to the necessary parties
  • Run all other required reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Comply with all procedures and Work Instructions
  • Author Work Instructions for various plant activities
  • Create Work Orders

Education and Skill Requirements:

Have significant experience related to area of responsibility

Possess strong cross-functional communication skills

Demonstrates the ability to meet the information needs of the team through regular and effective communication and follow-up

Ability to effectively multi-task job responsibilities in a fast pace environment

Ability to remain calm, apply good judgment and decision making under pressure

Positive, respectful, high energy, team focused, and motivating personality with the team

Available and flexible to work overtime as needed to support the team and the business needs
