Innovatus Technology Consulting is an established government and commercial consulting firm with over ten years of experience providing expert technology frameworks, products, and services to achieve mission success. We are looking for a Top Secret-cleared Endpoint Security Services (ESS) Engineer to support tip-of-the-spear analysis and installation for a renowned research institution at secure government sites.

As part of the evolved, holistic approach to cybersecurity network defense lead by DISA in the transition from Host Based Security System tool to a suite of tools and processes, the chosen person will conduct most of their work remotely but will need to have access or work fairly regularly from a SIPR-site. Preferably this person will be located near where the research institution has a SIPR-access hub localities: Camp Smith, HI / Atlanta, GA / Redstone Arsenal, AL / San Diego, CA / Quantico, VA.

Your role is to successfully analyze and deploy ESS onto joint Command and Control (C2) networks which host legacy GCCS-J, JPOCS, Intelligence, or other C2 capabilities, without blocking or interfering with those legacy joint and interagency C2 capabilities. The final installation and on-site government support could be yet in another locale and will take approximately one month to accomplish. This site could be located on Oahu, HI, or another location to be determined.

You will also be conducting and developing Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment & Authorization mostly to support Navy and Joint RMF requirements. Additionally, you will be offered the option to support DISA HQ to improve ESS integration.

Key tasks of responsibility for the ESS Engineer include:

• Assess the network and systems, evaluate ESS, prepare RMFs and conduct A&A, assess the C2 capability for integration, and refine system requirements provided by the Government.
• Prepare the C2 capability for endpoint security installation while protecting legacy systems.
• Perform implementation, administration, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance within Windows OS and SCCM / Intune environments.
• Windows desktop OS image creations, customization of features and deployment across the enterprise. Create software packages via various methods including packaging for physical and virtual desktops (VDI) for automated unattended deployments.
• Leveraging automation to supplant tedious administration tasks. On Windows, this includes PowerShell, SCCM (Intune) and GPOs.
• Meet endpoint support and service delivery objectives through the design, development and delivery of custom solutions related to automation, monitoring, and application performance optimization. Oversee the deployment of security patches for operating system and desktop applications.
• Provide tier three-support for issues related to the endpoint OS and applications.
• Ensure all client requests and operational problems are updated/resolved within a timely manner. Maintain standardized system configurations across operating environments utilizing configuration management frameworks and automation.
• Packages applications for distribution via client management tools.
• Evaluate new products/services and provide effective solutions to meet end-user needs.
• Ability to identify and evaluate desktop OS and application solutions that enhance the security of the desktop environment, while balancing user experience and ease of use.
• Ensuring physical and virtual systems are compliant within required HITRUST security standards and being familiar with HITRUST regulations.
• Interface via meetings and regular communications with scientists and engineers as well as cybersecurity professionals from the research institution, and other stakeholders.
• Commute fairly regularly to a SIPR-site - either your own access, or the institution’s hub location as part of everyday work - and travel occasionally for installation and integration to government sites on full per diem for longer periods of several weeks to a month as needed.

Credentials Required for the Job: TOP SECRET / SCI CLEARANCE REQUIRED, and:

• Linux+, and an advanced network security credential e.g., CCNA, MTA Security or CCNP
• Advanced information security certification credentials beyond IAT II; (CISSP, CASP+)
• McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO) certification, DISA IA ESS certificate
• Higher salary offered for other security credentials such as CEH, PEN Test, et cetera
• At least ten years’ experience working in cybersecurity in support of the federal government
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security or similar
