Esthetician Instructors

Paul Mitchell The School Sherman Oaks is seeking a licensed Esthetic Instructor who has a positive attitude, energetic, that is versatile in his/her technical skills. The candidate must be open to learning and adapting to our Paul Mitchell systems and culture and committed to intensive continuing education.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lesson-planning and teaching classes in skin health, anatomy, analysis and treatments, esthetics theory and professional development, using the Paul Mitchell systems and culture.
• Actively coaching and assisting students (Future Professionals) in clinic classrooms to include technical assistance as well as coaching on spa success skills such as guest consultations, re-booking and retailing.
• Modeling the Paul Mitchell culture and positive professional habits for our Future Professionals.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Current Esthetician License per State requirement; however candidates with a Cosmetology License with a specialty in Esthetics will be considered
• Minimum of 2-5 years experience in the Esthetics
• Passion for educating, learning, and helping others is an absolute plus.
• Prior teaching experience preferred but not required
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills
• Computer skills necessary

Skills / Competencies Required:

• Current California Esthetician / Cosmetology License
• Excellent organization, coaching, and communication skills
• Skills in supervision, teamwork, documentation, and in return on investment
• Solid work history with verifiable references
• Passion for the esthetic and beauty industries
• Honesty and professionalism
• Knowledge in Paul Mitchell Schools’ cultural and technical systems preferred
