SCHOOL EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – SEATTLE CAMPUS

Heritage School of Interior Design is seeking to add a critical leadership role for our Seattle Campus. The School Executive Director reports directly to the CEO and is a full-time role dedicated to ensuring the Seattle Campus embodies the Heritage culture and values to achieve our purpose to “empower the success of others”. This role serves as the cultural and brand ambassador to students, staff and the broader design community and helps us ensure the successful and profitable operation of the school.

The success of this role is measured by

  • Recruiting, training, building, developing and leading a high performing team that creates a local expression of the Heritage culture
  • Building and nurturing relationships with the broader design community to enrich our student’s educational experience and provide growing career opportunities for our students
  • Building and nurturing life-long relationships with students, alumni and staff to ensure the continued success of our community
  • Create an environment that ensures our students have a delightful experience while pursuing their career goals
  • Meeting or exceeding student enrollment, graduation and placement targets at our Seattle campus
  • Running an efficient and profitable location

About Heritage School of Interior Design

For over 25 years, Heritage School of Interior Design has been dedicated to empowering the success of our students by providing a high-quality1 education to pursue a career in Interior Design. We do this by providing an intensive, hands-on education that is focused on helping our students launch their career in 6 -12 months. Our program is different because it is focused specifically on what students need to quickly launch their career. School Executive Director Job Responsibilities

  • School and Staff Management
  • Manage the overall profit and loss of the location
  • Oversee the student recruitment and retention process to meet or exceed enrollment targets
  • Conceiving and leading student outreach programs including email marketing campaigns, open houses and community events to drive engagement
  • Ensure proper handling of all inbound student inquiries including outreach, scheduling, interviewing, enrollment, and payment processes
  • Manage the staffing, scheduling and capacity to ensure a positive student experience and a profitable business
  • Assist finance team with student invoicing and payment plan setup and timely collection of payments
  • Recruit and manage the local board of advisors
  • Maintain all data and quality standards as required by the WTCEB
  • Learning Development & Classroom Management
  • Ensure proper staff training, curriculum management and incorporation of feedback and learning to ensure a quality educational product
  • Help recruit panelists who provide added perspectives and feedback
  • Developing relationships with prospective and enrolled students to ensure enrollment and success during their educational journey.
  • Ensure complete tracking and management all student information using our online customer relationship management system
  • Monitor processes to maintain student records and provide all necessary student support regarding their records.
  • Develop and nurture the connection between the school, students and the local design community
  • Develop partnerships with local companies and professionals in the design industry
  • Assist community partners and students in facilitating opportunities.
  • Provide guidance to students in career choices and job search.
  • Coordinate with community partners and students for school promotional opportunities.
  • Always be looking for opportunities to capture content to promote the school
  • Oversee day-to-day support of students, staff to create a positive, productive school environment
  • Advise students during their educational journey
  • Support students and teachers with any difficulties during classes.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of our learning assets using SharePoint and Moodle, our centralized online learning platform.
  • Ensure availability and refreshing a quality resource library
  • Assist the CEO and corporate team with various strategic programs.
  • Ensure a properly equipped classroom environment for staff and students

Minimum Work Experience/Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and people development skills
  • Proven interpersonal, teaming and relationship building skills
  • Customer oriented
  • Organized and efficient with time management with high attention to detail
  • Strategic, proactive, and innovative thinker - must be a troubleshooter and problem solver
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently

Preferred Education and Work Experience/Qualifications

  • 5+ Years experience in the Interior Design Industry
  • 3+ Years management experience leading teams
  • Interest in promoting the school including using social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
