Job: (DIRECT HIRE) Injection Molding Technician / Process Technician

Location: 18.5/Van Dyke, Sterling Heights, MI

Shifts:

• Split Shift (Mon-Fri 11a-7p)
• Mandatory weekends and overtime if needed

Job Description:

• Mold Setting- Installing and Removal
• Press Inspection and Power up.
• Material Loading - Dryer
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience: Process Tech/Injection Molding Tech (light manufacturing)

Competencies:

• Perform mold changes based on schedule and prepare/setup the machine for production.
• Ensure the work environment is safe to perform the mold change and communication to all impacted employees is clear.
• Understand and follow Standardized work established as it relates to Mold changes.
• Provide input into efficiency improvements regarding Mold changes.
• Assist maintenance technician/electrician with machine maintenance including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
• Assist mold maker with injection mold tool troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
• Support the production team priorities of Safety, Quality and Delivery.
• Assist in monitoring process conditions to ensure they are in control.
• Assist in trials on new programs.
• Assist in trials on new technology.
• In conjunction with other departments, participate in identifying and analyzing non-conformances or production/quality problems; and developing, implementing, and verifying corrective actions.
• Perform duties as assigned from time to time by Supervisor.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Lifting, bending, squatting and some walking about
• Good hand/eye coordination
• Ability to lift up to thirty pounds
• Machines/Equipment
• Injection Molding Machine, hand, and foot pedals.
• Handheld tools, inspection gages and other related machinery as needed.
