Description:

Position Summary
Under direct supervision, performs customer service and administrative functions, and is responsible for the clerical support of the UIH Human Resources – Employee Experience. Perform a wide range of office support task, which require the use of judgement and initiative and the ability to operate computer systems and software programs. Knowledge of organization, programs, practices and procedures of the unit is central to the performance of the duties.



Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides support for the on-boarding of new employees during New Employee & Resident Orientation.
  • Serves as a strategic partner supporting UIH initiatives by writing, editing, coordinating, planning and executing employee events.
  • Composes and/or assists in the preparation and handling of correspondence (such as form letters/emails and follow up on ongoing cases).
  • Compiles and prepares data into various reports and dashboards. Enters and maintains data elements in defined databases.
  • Assists in coordinating the planning of special projects and essential programs, including complex scheduling for meetings/events.
  • Provides set up, tear down and within session support for key training and development sessions and engagement and recognition events facilitated by the Employee Experience Team.
  • Copies and prepares materials for a variety of events.
  • Monitors the shared office email box and responds appropriately
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the following categories:
    • college coursework in business administration, communications, public relations or a closely related field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
      • 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
      • Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
      • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
      • Bachelor’s degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
    • responsible work experience in customer services, public relations, office administration, business and financial operations, healthcare administration or other closely related experience
