POSITION: Facility Maintenance Assistant
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under direct supervision of Facility Maintenance, assists in all aspects of maintaining wastewater treatment plant and collection system facilities and equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform maintenance and repairs at plant and on equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repairs at lift stations.
- Perform maintenance on District buildings involving carpentry, painting, plumbing and minor electrical repairs.
- Assist with weed control.
- Respond to emergency calls as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Training and mid-level experience in preventative maintenance, servicing and repairing of automotive and heavy equipment.
- Have some knowledge of electric and gas-powered pumps and other related equipment found in wastewater treatment.
- Have knowledge of grounds maintenance and housekeeping.
- Show knowledge of good safety practices.
- Must be able to read, write and effectively communicate.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold a current Colorado Commercial Driver’s License, B Level.
HOURS:
Monday – Friday
8AM – 5PM
PAY RATE:
$21.00 per hour
