Fairgrounds Maintenance Operator (Part-Time Seasonal 24 hours per week)

Hiring Rate: $17.54 an hour
Position Summary: This position is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and operations of the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.
Minimum Job Requirements: Experience working with the public, event experience, equipment operations, facility maintenance, working in various weather conditions.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Prepares fairground facilities for events (Cleans/maintains public buildings/restrooms, Animal stalls/pens)
- Assists in enforcing rules and regulations of the fairground and facilities.
- Maintains facilities and equipment; performs repairs; makes recommendations for professional services, when necessary.
- Maintains Grounds (Mowing, weed trimming, Racking, Sweeping, Snow removal)
- Equipment Operation (Mower, Tractor, Skid steer)
- Handles immediate repairs and clean-ups.
- Performs routine and special maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
**There may be exposure to extreme heat and/or extreme cold under demanding physical conditions.
**Applicant must have the ability to lift 50 pounds.
