Job Overview
This position with be responsible for operating a spray booth in the finishing room spraying wood cabinetry with primer, paint, stain, and top coat.
Responsibilities
- Spray wood cabinets, doors, drawers, shelves, etc. with primer, paint, stain, top coat, etc.
- Work with other team members to apply special finishes such as: glazing, bleaching, color steps, to match the required finish in both color and quality
- Wood sanding, seal sanding, hole filling, in the finish that may have defects to make the final finish top-of-class in the industry
- Work with the quality department to verify/improve parts finish to meet the standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in spray on surface finishing: staining, priming, painting, top coat (preferably in the wood industry)
- Prior experience in special processes such as stain matching, glazing, color steps processing preferred
- Prior experience in match colors compared to samples (artistic eye for color)
- Prior experience with cleaning and maintaining paint sprayers and tools
- Ability to work with a team on collaborative solutions
