Fitness Program Coordinator, Minnetonka, MN

Full Time, Full Benefits Package/PTO, Paid Holidays

Schedule: M-F, 40 hours/wk. Flexible, between the hours of 6a-5:30p.

Location: In this role you will primarily work in-person, onsite at our client's fitness center in Minnetonka. Position allows for some work from home days, 1-2 days/wk. Subject to change based on client needs.


Your impact on our members:

Be a fitness and wellbeing influencer! Our client site in Minnetonka, MN has an opening for a full-time Fitness Program Coordinator to oversee the onsite corporate fitness center for their employees and support the overall fitness and wellbeing program engagement. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, coordination, marketing and implementation of health and fitness programs and events. A creative mindset is needed to retain and grow participation and onsite engagement. You may manage program delivery process, monitor quality, and report on program outcomes. You will also participate in program delivery and perform other staff responsibilities such as instructing onsite group exercise classes; leading personal training sessions, conducting fitness assessments, and overseeing the operations of a corporate fitness facility. Other duties as-needed/assigned.


Site features: 1,500 sq. ft. facility with 2 full walls of windows bringing in a lot of natural light. Site has exercise room and locker rooms, a flat outdoor green space that could be used for pop-up yoga or fun summer events like corn hole and there is a walking trail around the building. Campus also has a cafeteria.


What you bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or related discipline AND 1+ years related experience OR equivalent combination of education, current certifications and experience.
  • Current Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
  • Industry recognized Group Exercise certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NCCPT or NETA required within 90 days of hire.
  • Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider required within 90 days of hire.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, coordinating and delivering effective programs including budgeting, marketing and promotions.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.
  • Proficiency in fitness assessment and exercise prescription.
