Join our kitchen team as a food prep worker at The Blue Gate Restaurant. We are a busy restaurant in the heart of Amish country with visitors from all over the country. We are focused on teamwork and a consistent quality product. Your effort will ensure that guests enjoy a good meal and leave with a smile.
As a food prep worker, your responsibilities include the following:
- Preparing food
- Following recipes.
- Make simple dishes.
- Assembling and plating meals.
- Cleaning and sanitizing your work area.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Experience in the food industry is helpful but optional. We cross-train all team members to provide them with the knowledge and skills to work in all areas of our kitchen. Paid training is provided!
You will work part-time, up to four weekly shifts, including evenings (our closing shift) and Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays. Adult wages start at $16.00 per hour.
Food Prep Worker Requirements:
- Safe food handling practices
- Willingness to work until closing
- Properly prepare food as trained and instructed
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to lift, hold, and move up to 50 pounds consistently
- Ability to stand on feet and move the entire shift
- Must be teachable with a desire to learn and grow
