Job description

This position requires someone who is comfortable working in a high-pressure environment and is highly motivated to work in a team setting. The ideal candidate for this position has prior experience operating marine forklifts and possesses a willingness to learn new skills as well as perform any duties required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the forklift operators in the movement and storage of customer boats. Assistance includes but is not limited to performing the role of spotter, tying up vessels, flushing boat engines and more.
• Provide great customer service to current and potential marina customers. Assist customers with tie ups, loading and unloading of customers items from their boat, fueling and more on the docks. Respond to customer inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Perform special projects assigned for each day of the week. Projects include but are not limited to general cleanup, boat yard work, routine maintenance, pressure washing.
• Marine Forklift Operator: experienced marina forklift operators please give detailed background on experience and certifications, pay rate will vary from dockhand position.
• Physical strength.
• Excellent vision and hearing.
• Ability to concentrate for long periods of time in noisy conditions.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Able to understand and follow directions; Be able to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
