Edible Arrangements is a growing gift giving company who's presence is felt worldwide. The company is known for its convenient fruit arrangements which “WOW” their customers and fulfill the needs of many who are seeking that something special and personalized in gifting. The brand continues to flourish with actual flowers, Edible treats such as cupcakes, brownies, cheesecakes, popcorn, cheese, and coffee. Many customers are repeat buyers who love the product and continue to use the brand for all of their holidays.

Edible is seeking a store manager who will oversee all day to day operations at the the Derby,CT store. The manager is the lead coordinator for the entire day. We need a strong leader who will provide for the best service both outside and inside the store front. The store manager provides the glue which holds the progress of the business. Experience in heading a food service institution is required. The responsibilities of the store manager include:

  • Effectively lead a team to achieve and exceed sales and profitability goals
  • Lead the execution of exceptional operational practices while striving to exceed sales and service goals and objectives
  • Contribute to the overall operational effectiveness of the store, including proper cash handling procedures, following all food and safety procedures and compliance with all policies
  • Possess strong knowledge of Edible® product line and brand standards
  • Recruit, hire, lead and develop team members; Create a culture of energy, enthusiasm, achievement, professionalism and fun to retain staff and keep them engaged
  • Provide training, coaching and development for team members to lead them in overall sales achievement while providing an outstanding customer experience and maintaining profitability goals
  • Ensures store has adequate shift coverage all times, while adhering to scheduling and labor guidelines
  • Clearly and concisely communicate current performance levels and expectations to team members
  • Monitor and analyze performance against the key performance indexes.
  • Adjust sales tactics as necessary to meet sales targets
  • Identify key processes improvements to support revenue growth and exceptional customer experience
  • Effectively communicate changes in business to team members
  • Manage perishable and non-perishable inventory
  • Utilize strong decision-making skills to successfully solve customer issues
  • Maintain a marketing plan that supports corporate initiatives and establish a local marketing plan that is pertinent to your market
  • Ensure local community involvement to establish Edible in your market, support community initiatives and develop awareness of Edible products
  • Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and integrity by consistently adhering to company’s policies and procedures, serving as an example of effective leadership.

And here’s what we think you’re like:

  • Minimum 2-4 years retail sales management experience
  • High School degree
  • College degree preferred, but not required
  • Ability to manage store operations independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have proven ability to motivate employees to meet sales goals
  • Strong team-building, performance management and leadership skills with ability to mentor others
  • Desire to achieve and exceed sales, service and profitability goals
  • Consistently demonstrates high energy and passion in a sales environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with Franchisee
  • Ability to solve problems while exhibiting good judgment with realistic understanding of issues
  • Positive attitude and enjoys developing team members
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Organization and planning skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Good math and money handling skills
  • Computer skills including Microsoft software and register skills
  • Ability to lift, carry and/or push objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shift
  • Valid State Driver’s License and a clean driving record
  • Interest in a Franchise Opportunity in the future preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
