BDR is seeking a Sr. Functional Analyst to join our growing team! This position will be performed remotely with the ability to travel to DC at client's request. Some additional travel may be required to areas such as Seattle, WA, San Francisco CA, Wichita KS, Chicago IL and Austin TX. This position requires US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk BI / VA clearance.

Role Overview
BDR is looking to support VA Office of Chief Information Office (OCIO) Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) and the respective service lines in the areas of scheduling, travel logistics supports, data calls, action items, meeting support, and administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Proven experience in analyzing, designing, implementing, and supporting IT business systems across diverse applications such as healthcare and financial systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with customers, users, and project leads to gather requirements and identify areas for improvement in business systems.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and experience in software testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Proficient in translating complex business requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
- Experience in creating and maintaining documentation such as system requirements, use cases, and process flows.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to software applications.
- Familiarity with various software development methodologies such as Agile.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve system issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to project timelines and deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, policies, and best practices related to healthcare and financial systems.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree, in engineering, or other technical or scientific related discipline is required.
- 10+ years of experience OR 20 years' of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Expertise in analyzing and documenting complex business requirements, use cases, and process flows.
- Strong understanding of IT systems and technologies used in healthcare and financial systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite Tools.
- Experience in using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, Atlassian JIRA, SharePoint, PowerBI and other PowerApps.
- Familiarity with databases and SQL query language to extract data and create reports.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to resolve technical communication and reporting issues related to software applications and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with customers, users, and project leads to gather requirements and identify areas for improvement in business systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required.
