San Diego Humane Society is hiring a full-time Gift Processing Associate for our San Diego Campus!

Philanthropy is foundational to our ability to serve the people and animals of San Diego County, and the Gift Processing Associate plays an important role in supporting the Philanthropy department’s fundraising efforts. In this role, you’ll be responsible for processing and acknowledging donations and maintaining accurate constituent records. What you’ll do:
Process incoming mail, scan/copy donation backup materials, work with staff to verify gift and constituent details, and prepare and deposit donations.- Maintain both electronic and paper filing systems for storing and retrieving donation backup materials and other related information.
- Communicate with donors on an as-needed basis to resolve gift processing issues, such as declined credit cards and incomplete check details.
- Follow and comply with all SDHS gift-related policies and procedures for accepting, processing, and acknowledging donations and pledges in a timely matter.
- Maintain accurate and detailed constituent records and perform accurate and detailed gift batch entry.
- Assist with weekly posting of entered gifts to Finance and with various data projects, reports, and procedures as requested.
What we’re looking for:
- High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree preferred
- Requires one (1) year of related experience and high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), data entry, computer and typing skills.
- Must have a high degree of accuracy and professionalism with strict attention to detail.
- Experience with donor database systems, such as Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge NXT and Luminate Online (or equivalent systems) and data tools, such as Omatic’s ImportOmatic highly preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be approved by SDHS insurance carrier to drive a company or personal vehicle for work purposes.
Location: Supporting all campuses, but based at our San Diego Campus.
Pay: Starting range is between $18.00 – $20.25 per hour. The actual hourly rate is determined by your related education and experience.
