Turtleback is a premier golf, restaurant, and event center open to the public in Northwest, Wisconsin. While the course is open to the public, membership is a large part of our customer base and experience.

Located less than one mile west of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Turtleback is recognized as a top-quality golf course, receiving the prestigious 4-star rating from Golf Digest.

The facility includes a beautiful 18-hole golf course, practice range and putting green, as well as a year-round restaurant and events center.

The course is conveniently located only 15–30-minutes from the fantastic vacation areas of Long Lake, Red Cedar Lake, Chetek, Cumberland, and Birchwood.

The Position

Turtleback’s purpose revolves around the experience of both our customers and our staff. The head professional position focuses on elevating the golf experience year after year. This includes yearly event/tournament planning, merchandising, golf instruction, and leading a team in a positive environment.

A successful candidate will work between 40-55 hours/week during the spring, summer, and fall. This schedule will largely revolve around a 5-day work week but will be expected to be on the property as needed during the golf season. During winter months, candidates can enjoy a greater amount of flexibility, working between 25+ hours per week.

Experience Required

· 2 years of experience as a PGA Head or Assistant professional

· PGA Class “A’ member in progress or received

· Self-motivated individual

· Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills

· Ability to sell products and services

· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

· Recruiting, training, and scheduling all employees in the golf department

· Committed to the service and experience of our facility

Essential Responsibilities

· Plan and promote golf events

· Recruit, train, oversee, and schedule golf shop employees

· Order appropriate inventory

· Lead a profitable merchandising operation

· Communicate directly with Events Director, Food and Beverage Director, Executive Chef, Superintendent, and General Manager

· Provide a high level of guest experience

· Work directly in the pro shop

Compensation Opportunities

· Base salary

· Monthly commission based on golf department revenue

· Will receive 100% of revenue from all lessons

· Opportunity to make tips serving or bartending in the restaurant in the winter

· Opportunity to make tips working events during the winter

· Year-round position with vacation pay

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
