Mysten Labs is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of Physical Security to oversee the physical security measures and protocols of our organization. This leader will be responsible for building a team of physical security professionals and will be expected to oversee the development and implementation of physical security strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization's people, property, and assets.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct regular risk assessments of the organization's facilities, assets, and operations to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats.

• Develop and implement comprehensive physical security plans and procedures to mitigate identified risks and threats.

• Implement and manage access control systems, policies, and procedures to regulate access to buildings, facilities, and other sensitive areas.

• Manage and supervise security personnel, including hiring, training, and performance management.

• Identify, evaluate, and implement security technologies, such as CCTV, access control systems, and intrusion detection systems, to enhance physical security measures.

• Develop and test emergency preparedness plans and procedures, such as evacuation plans and crisis management protocols.

• Conduct investigations into security breaches, theft, and other security incidents to identify the cause and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure that the organization's physical security measures comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

• Manage relationships with third-party vendors, such as security guard services and security technology providers, to ensure compliance with organizational security policies and procedures.

• Promote security awareness and training employees on physical security measures and procedures to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a secure work environment.

• Develop and manage the physical security budget and ensure that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to support the organization's physical security objectives.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.

• At least 10 years of experience in physical security management, with a focus on risk assessment, access control, security technology, and emergency preparedness.

• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing large teams of physical security professionals.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated experience in investigations and regulatory compliance.

• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Relevant industry certifications, such as CPP or PSP, are highly desirable.
