POSITION SUMMARYPosition Summary:The histology technician is responsible for processing specimens in the histology/pathology section of the laboratory. The technician demonstrates knowledge of equipment operation such as the tissue processor, embedding station, microtomes, and slide stainers. The technician works closely with the surgery department, pathologists, and transcribers. The individual is able to assist with special procedures involving the pathologists and nursing units.
